When Mitt Romney was governor of Massachusetts, the state got both universal health care and gay marriage. He has been hammered on this ever since and it looks like his record as governor is going to cost him the 2012 Republican nomination.
Today, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie vetoed a gay marriage bill, likely with an eye on the 2016 GOP Iowa caucus and the 2016 South Carolina primary. You get an A for learning!
